Nottingham success

Independent tobacco specialists proved there was still plenty to smile about despite the threat of antismoking legislation as they held their 25th annual trade fair and followed it with a glitzy dinner.

Exhibitors from across Britain were joined by some European companies at Trent Bridge Cricket Ground in Nottingham for an exhibition which featured cigars, lighters, pipes and a wide range of related accessories and merchandise aimed at cigar smokers.

Highlights of the exhibition included the presence of Sarome UK, a new company set up to market the highly regarded range of Sarome Japanese lighters, some stunning new cigars from Davidoff, including the stylish Zino Mouton Cadet, and a whole range of new products from across the world and unveiled by Loretta Cigars, including the stylish long filler hand-made cigars from C.A.O of Nicaragua.

The speaker at the evening’s grand dinner, held within the test cricket ground, was English cricketing legend Fred Truman.
