Third Habanos Day - 2006 Edition - Italy

Catania, Romano Palace Hotel, Saturday May 27

The Habanos Day is an event that came into being in Italy back in 2003 thanks to the joint endeavor and willingness of Diadema S.p.a. –exclusive Habano importer and distributor in Italy- and the Cigar Club Association, an entity that gathers Italy’s most important smoker clubs.

This traveling meeting of international scope –it’s been taking place every other year- clusters a considerable chunk of cigar buffs and tobacco industry experts from the transalpine country who attend a number of training and research seminars, tasting sessions, matching sessions and, above all, get a chance to share the passion and pleasure of huddling among billows of great burning cigars, sipping wines and licorices, and tucking in top-of-the-line cuisine offers.

The event lasts one full day and signs up the attendance of a master cigar roller and Cuban tobacco experts, as well as foreign delegations hailing from other such nations as Spain, France, UK, Andorra, Switzerland and Germany.

The gathering comes to a close with a Gala Dinner, another top-notch function whose pinnacle comes with the absolutely exclusive nationwide presentation of the new Habano of the year –Romeo & Juliet Short Churchills- a glorious and fascinating Cuban brand the 2006 Habanos Day will pay tribute to this time around.
